Just call me Jo ....The Good Witch of the North
The domestic kitchen witch, keeper of hearth and home, the cultivator of all things green, the Crazy Chicken Lady and everything in between.
I guess you could say I am a bit of a "unique" individual. The breaker of molds per say. I have never really followed the mainstream. Probably never will. All I know is that when I decided to follow this path, many years ago, I didn't think I would ever learn so much on this journey.
Being a witch isn't easy. Well it is, and it isn't. As far as anyone knows, I am just the one who is "crazy about herbs and nature" LOL. Anything more than that would probably lead into long and lengthy discussions about what I "should believe". And I just don't have the precious time to waste on ignorant people. You all know what and who I am talking about, don't you. Good, then i don't need to get into that one here. ;)
So, my path is the crooked one. Big deal. It makes me happy like no other. When i practice my witchcraft, it gives me a good feeling inside. Like I am part of something bigger than myself. I am part of this world, so why not enjoy it to the fullest.
I won't say I'm solely Wiccan, or solely a hedge witch, or kitchen witch or green witch. I am ALL of them, I am whatever i want to be. So...I use the informal title of just plain WITCH. All to often we get stuck on formalities, not here chicky! Be yourself I say.
The one thing I AM, is first and foremost a Mother, and wife. Which i wear proudly. I have a loving husband who supports me in my quirkiness, and a daughter who could care less if I am.
I love to garden, grow things, nurture things, dig in the dirt. It is my nature. I feel my magik working whenever I step into my yard and into my garden. It surrounds our yard, and fills our days with joy and comfort. It's in the food I harvest and prepare for my family. It's in our home. It's our life.
Most of all, when I look into my daughter's eyes, it's there too.
So Blessed be my friends.
